Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, coaching employees, and improving operations? We're looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to lead warehouse and production operations for a growing corrugated packaging manufacturer in Bristol, CT.
In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, lead a team of warehouse and production employees, ensure a safe work environment, and help drive productivity and continuous improvement. What You'll Do
- Lead all daily warehouse and production operations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse and production employees.
- Conduct daily attendance reviews, safety meetings, and equipment inspections.
- Monitor production schedules, machine setup, and run times to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure customer orders are produced accurately and delivered on time.
- Oversee the operation of production equipment, including cardboard cutting machines, forklifts, and wrapping equipment.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and an organized production environment.
- Make hiring, coaching, disciplinary, and staffing decisions.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
What We're Looking For
- 4–6 years of management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or industrial environment.
- Experience leading warehouse, production, or operations teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with forklifts or other industrial equipment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of production metrics, scheduling, and continuous improvement is preferred.
