Job description

SUMMARY

Airshare is a company that values its people and recognizes their contributions to the success of the organization. We believe in teamwork and collaboration to ensure that customers are safely and punctually transported to their destinations. Whether you work as a pilot, mechanic, or part of the operations team, Airshare acknowledges the critical role each individual plays in the seamless execution of every trip. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional service and has fostered a dynamic and rewarding culture.

The Vice President, Sales Enablement & Development is responsible for building the training, coaching, playbooks, tools, and performance disciplines that improve sales effectiveness across Airshare. This role partners cross-functionally with Commercial leadership, HR, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to equip sales professionals with consistent processes, practical resources, and stronger execution across Fractional Ownership, Jet Card, Charter, and Aircraft Management.

This position requires working in the Overland Park, Kansas corporate headquarters. This is not a remote or hybrid role. The position requires regular field travel to coach sales teams, support customer-facing work, and observe execution. This role does not directly manage regional sales leaders or revenue-producing teams; it drives results through influence, field coaching, talent development, process improvement, and enterprise-wide consistency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develop and execute Airshare’s enterprise-wide sales enablement strategy across commercial channels.
  • Create scalable processes, tools, best practices, and standard operating rhythms that support growth across Fractional Ownership, Jet Card, Charter, and Aircraft Management.
  • Identify capability gaps and implement practical solutions that improve productivity, consistency, customer engagement, and sales performance.
  • Partner with HR and sales leadership to define ideal candidate profiles and strengthen recruiting, interviewing, assessment tools, and structured hiring practices for high-potential sales talent.
  • Design structured onboarding and learning paths that accelerate new-hire productivity and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Create and facilitate training on Airshare products, aviation industry knowledge, discovery, consultative selling, negotiation, objection handling, competitive positioning, CRM discipline, and sales process execution.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging, sales approach, customer engagement, and execution across channels.
  • Establish a practical coaching framework for sales leaders and sales professionals.
  • Conduct field coaching, ride-alongs, customer interaction observations, call reviews, and opportunity reviews to reinforce expected behaviors and improve execution.
  • Help improve underperformance, accelerate development of high-potential talent, and build stronger coaching habits within the sales organization.
  • Create and maintain sales playbooks, discovery guides, talk tracks, value propositions, proposal tools, presentation materials, and objection-handling resources.
  • Standardize processes for lead management, prospecting, qualification, pipeline progression, proposals, customer engagement, forecasting, and account management.
  • Update resources based on field feedback, customer insights, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Develop scorecards, dashboards, and practical reporting to improve visibility, accountability, and performance management.
  • Measure pipeline quality, activity effectiveness, conversion rates, sales cycle length, win rates, forecast accuracy, and new-hire ramp-up.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to strengthen CRM discipline, data quality, reporting, and pipeline visibility.
  • Lead through influence, credibility, and expertise while building trust with experienced sales professionals and leaders at every level.
  • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and field presence, challenging existing processes while maintaining practical business judgment.
  • Support a disciplined, scalable, and highly capable commercial organization that improves the customer experience and supports Airshare’s long-term growth.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Qualified candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Aviation, or a related discipline.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, sales enablement, commercial excellence, sales training, business development, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success building sales enablement programs, training initiatives, playbooks, and scalable sales processes.
  • Experience supporting complex, consultative, relationship-driven sales organizations.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, pipeline management, forecasting, sales analytics, and performance reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, presentation, coaching, and executive influence skills.
  • Ability to work in-office in Overland Park, Kansas and travel regularly to spend time with field sales teams.
  • Experience in private aviation, luxury services, hospitality, transportation, or other high-touch customer environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple sales channels, products, or business units preferred.
  • Experience implementing sales enablement technology, learning platforms, or performance management systems preferred.
  • Track record of building structured onboarding, coaching, and sales development programs from the ground up preferred.
