VOA Oklahoma is currently seeking a Workforce Development Manager to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Volunteers of America is one of the nation’s largest comprehensive human services organizations with 16,000 mission-driven professionals, dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.

What You Will Do 

As the Workforce Development Manager, you will be an integral part of our team and will be primarily responsible for client-centered career coaching and employment navigation services. The Workforce Development Manager works closely with referral sources, employers, and community partners to ensure participants receive comprehensive support tailored to individualized goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized career assessments to identify participants’ skills, barriers, and employment readiness.
  • Develop and monitor Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with participants to establish measurable employment goals and steps toward self-sufficiency.
  • Assist with job search, resume development, interview preparation, and ongoing employment coaching.
  • Connect participants with supportive services needed to sustain employment.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with employers, workforce development agencies, educational and training providers, and community organizations to expand employment and training opportunities for participants.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with program partners, case managers, and referral agencies to ensure participants receive comprehensive, wraparound support and access to needed resources.
  • Coordinate services and share information with internal program staff, case managers, and external referral partners to ensure comprehensive participant support.
  • Represent the organization at community outreach events, job fairs, and workshops to promote employment services and engage new participants.

What You Will Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in workforce development, case management, or related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and motivational interviewing skills.
  • Strong public presence and ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and personably with employers and community partners.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, record-keeping, and timely reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and case management software.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation, and meet background check requirements.
