We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support growth across the San Francisco market within international freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.

This position focuses on developing new business opportunities across air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, and end-to-end logistics services.

The role requires a commercially focused freight forwarding professional with experience generating new business, managing customer relationships, and developing long-term logistics partnerships across the Bay Area market.

What You'll Drive

  • Develop new business opportunities across San Francisco and the Bay Area within international freight forwarding and logistics services
  • Generate and manage sales activity across air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, and domestic transportation
  • Build relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, technology companies, and supply chain decision-makers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through implementation and account development
  • Identify opportunities across technology, electronics, life sciences, retail, manufacturing, and industrial sectors
  • Coordinate closely with operations and pricing teams to develop competitive logistics solutions
  • Maintain visibility across market conditions, trade lanes, carrier activity, and customer requirements
  • Support RFQs, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations
  • Deliver consistent pipeline activity and revenue growth across assigned territory

What Matters

  • 3+ years of freight forwarding or international logistics sales experience
  • Existing relationships within the San Francisco or Bay Area logistics market preferred
  • Strong understanding of air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, and supply chain solutions
  • Proven experience generating new business within freight forwarding or 3PL environments
  • Commercial awareness across pricing, margins, and logistics operations
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Experience using CRM systems and CargoWise preferred
  • Ability to manage territory development independently
