Job description

Position Summary: The Treasury Relationship Partner serves as a day-to-day partner for Treasury services, working closely with Treasury Relationship Managers and internal bank teams to ensure customers are receiving proactive support, guidance, and ongoing support of Treasury Management solutions. This individual builds and maintains strong customer relationships, serving as a trusted partner throughout their Treasury & Payments journey. The primary focus of this role is to deliver exceptional onboarding, implementation, and relationship experience. This role is responsible for coordinating the setup and ongoing support of Treasury Management solutions while helping clients maximize the value of the bank's products and services.
Working closely with internal partners, the Relationship Partner facilitates successful implementations, provides customer education, identifies opportunities to enhance existing relationships, and supports business growth through consultative service and solution recommendations. This role offers valuable experience in client relationship management, Treasury & Payments solutions, and business development, creating a strong foundation for potential roles in Treasury Management Sales, Relationship Management, or other customer-facing leadership roles.
Essential Functions:
  • Embrace the Union Bank culture by building and maintaining strong business client relationships through proactive outreach, consultative conversations, and exceptional service.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for Treasury & Payments customers, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of client needs.
  • Anticipate customer needs and recommend Treasury & Payments solutions that improve efficiency, mitigate risk, and enhance customer experience.
  • Coordinate, implement, and guide clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition from setup to full adoption.
  • Partner with Treasury officers, Commercial Banking, Operations, and other internal teams to facilitate successful service implementations and ongoing support. This includes in-person or virtual visits with customers to understand their nature of business and needs.
  • Facilitate the opening, maintenance, and servicing of deposit accounts and Treasury Management services, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Delivery of customized client education and training through phone, virtual, and in-person channels to maximize product utilization.
  • Support Treasury products and services, including Deposit Accounts, ACH Origination Services, Remote Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, Wire Services, Online Banking, Commercial Cards, and related solutions.
  • Facilitate troubleshooting of Treasury & Payments services, coordinating issue resolution and communicating effectively and with urgency to clients throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with Treasury Management and other internal partners to identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand Treasury service utilization.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in preparing periodic customer reviews, providing insights on treasury service utilization and relationship growth opportunities.
  • Conduct periodic ACH and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) risk reviews with customers to evaluate processing activity, recommend risk mitigation strategies, and update exposure limits based on transaction volumes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Treasury & Payments products, ACH/NACHA rules, fraud mitigation strategies, payment technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development opportunities, and pursuit of industry certifications, including Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification (preferred).
  • Contribute to reporting, process improvement initiatives, and special projects that enhance operational efficiency and overall client experience.
  • Understand and adhere to all applicable bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to the role. Complete required compliance training. Follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in Bank policies.
  • Perform or assist with other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, related field preferred or applicable banking experience related to the position.
  • At least 3 years banking or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong interest in Treasury Management and Electronic Banking solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn banking software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Valid Nebraska Driver's License.
