PACE Supply is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM), Water Heater to join our team and help grow our Fresno California business.
 
This is an in-market remote position focused on the South Valley / Central Coast / Northern CA territory and surrounding areas. In partnership with Account Managers, the BDM will identify and qualify new customers, uncover challenges and opportunities, and effectively deliver the division’s value proposition to drive new business, growth, and market share within the Water Heater product sector.

  • Contact contractors to establish strong rapport, fostering positive relationships to enhance collaboration and business opportunities.
  • Work closely with account managers and their customers to ensure a seamless and cooperative approach to business development.
  • Support branches by proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities with house accounts, contributing to overall growth and revenue targets.
  • Conduct research on plumbing companies and individuals to identify potential leads and business prospects.
  • Actively promote the division's products and services, effectively communicating their value to the market and customers.
  • Showcase the unique value propositions of the division in order to differentiate it within the market.
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue new markets for the division's products, continuously improving sales strategies to maximize growth potential.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to stay abreast of market trends, establish connections, and represent the division within the industry.
  • Develop comprehensive quotes and proposals for customers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer needs and expectations.
  • Play a key role in training internal personnel, sharing industry insights, and helping team members develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, market research, and business development activities.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators and progress toward business development goals.
  • Stay adaptable to changing market conditions and proactively seek innovative approaches to business development.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential required.
  • Water Heater industry experience and product knowledge.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales in Water Heater industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
