YOUR MISSION

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and advancing the team's business development activities. The incumbent is responsible for tracking business opportunities and managing the CRM. They coordinate a variety of events and may occasionally represent Versilis at international trade shows and industry conferences. The role also contributes to the preparation of proposals and international client presentations.Through market analysis, competitive intelligence, and performance tracking, the Business Development Coordinator supports the identification of new business opportunities. The incumbent also participates in marketing and communication initiatives, contributing to the company's visibility and continued growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the CRM by ensuring the completeness and accuracy of data, including maintaining, updating, and enriching all business development activities and importing event participant lists;

  • Coordinate client visits, partner visits, Lunch & Learn sessions, and other events organized by Versilis to promote the company's products and solutions;

  • Occasionally represent Versilis at trade shows, conferences, and corporate events;

  • Coordinate all event planning activities and logistics related to national and international events attended by the team;

  • Prepare proposals and quotations within the ERP system while ensuring compliance with established standards and guidelines;

  • Extract and analyze data to support team strategies for opportunity management and the identification of potential projects;

  • Develop and maintain business development dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs);

  • Monitor industry events and maintain an ongoing calendar of relevant conferences and exhibitions;

  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to stay informed of industry trends, emerging markets, and initiatives that support business development;

  • Coordinate the production and distribution of the quarterly newsletter, including content preparation, mailing lists, and performance tracking;

  • Participate in updating the company website, developing new web pages, brochures, and other marketing materials that increase the visibility of Versilis products and solutions;

  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives, including preparing social media content, coordinating photo and video shoots, and developing visual materials;

  • Assist in preparing client presentation materials and gradually participate in client presentations;

  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing projects that support departmental objectives;

  • Ensure incoming inquiries are assigned to the appropriate members of the sales team and provide administrative support as needed.

CAREER GROWTH

This is a newly created position with strong medium-term growth opportunities. Based on the successful candidate's strengths and development, the role may evolve into an international business development position. Given the technical nature of our industry and products, onboarding will include structured mentoring, formal training, and knowledge sharing with cross-functional teams to support the successful development of the successful candidate.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Postsecondary education in sales, business development, business administration, or a combination of relevant education and work experience is required;

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a similar role is preferred;

  • Bilingualism is required: the ability to communicate effectively in French (functional) and English (advanced), both verbally and in writing, to support interactions with international clients;

  • Availability and legal eligibility to travel internationally on an occasional basis;

  • Engineering knowledge is considered an asset to support the technical aspects of the products;

  • Knowledge of NetHunt and/or NetSuite is considered an asset;

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Earth, and the Google Workspace suite.
