We are responsive to our customers’ needs, responsible to one another and the environment, and improve our processes to deliver quality products. We ask ‘Why’ so we can deliver the ‘How’.

The Account Manager is a key customer-facing role responsible for supporting and growing Premier Packaging’s regional customer accounts. This position partners closely with customers to meet sales revenue targets, inventory management goals, and operational expectations while identifying opportunities for incremental growth. The Account Manager is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of Premier Packaging’s full portfolio of products and services and to serve as a trusted advisor to both existing and prospective clients.

This role plays a critical part in executing vendor-managed inventory programs, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive organic growth by identifying and executing incremental sales opportunities within the existing customer base through daily and weekly customer engagement.
  • Maintain consistent daily and weekly communication with internal Premier Packaging teams to support customer needs and operational alignment.
  • Manage and execute vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs for assigned accounts.
  • Track, manage, and follow up on aged inventory to ensure inventory flows on a targeted 30-day turn cycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer escalations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
  • Prepare and deliver Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentations for key accounts as designated by the Division or Regional Sales Manager.
  • Provide monthly reporting on prospects, projects, and pipeline activity to local or Regional Sales leadership.
  • Coordinate and participate in monthly ride-alongs with the Division or Regional Sales Manager.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Premier Packaging’s products, services, and value-added solutions, and effectively communicate these to customers.
  • Partner with Accounting to assist with collections efforts and follow up on outstanding customer payments when necessary.
  • Support Premier Packaging’s overall growth objectives by assisting in the execution of company marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Some college coursework preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience in account management, sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment and Expectations

  • This position requires frequent interaction with customers and internal teams and may involve travel to customer sites as business needs dictate.
