A Receptionist welcomes visitors to the facility by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories, and maintains security by following visitor/resident procedures. Receptionist Essential Job Functions: โ€ข Answers phones and operates a switchboard. โ€ข Routes calls to facility departments. โ€ข Takes and relays messages to facility departments. โ€ข Sends emails and faxes. โ€ข Greets visitors warmly and ensures they are comfortable. โ€ข Ensures reception is tidy. โ€ข Coordinates mail flow in and out of the facility. โ€ข Performs basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties. โ€ข Assists Business Office Manager with accounts payable receipts. โ€ข Hands out employment applications.
