Job description

BRANDSMART USA WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
PRIMARY PURPOSE
This is a multi-function warehouse supervisory position which will include supervising all the procedures of warehouse personnel.
This is an hourly position which will report to the Warehouse Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Supervise Warehouse Personnel
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of all warehouse personnel, as well as, monitor and insure all safety policies are adhered to.
2. Supervise Handling and Distributing Merchandise
Insure the handling and distributing of both customer and company merchandise is properly followed through according to BrandsMart USA policy.
3. Greet Customer
A Warehouse Supervisor is an important part of BrandsMart USA. It is the responsibility of each employee to treat all customers pleasantly and with respect. The Warehouse Supervisor must greet each customer in such a way as to make the customer feel genuinely welcome. A Warehouse Supervisor should be willing to impart whatever information the customer requests and be willing to educate that customer.
4. Equipment
The Warehouse Supervisor will use hand trucks, flatbeds, and platforms to aide in pulling merchandise from the warehouse or showroom floors. If qualified, the Warehouse Supervisor may be utilized to operate a Forklift to pull merchandise.
5. Safety Devices
A Back Support Belt will be worn at any time lifting will be done. When pulling product utilizing a lift platform the Warehouse Supervisor will ensure he/she is tethered to the safety belt and to the platform.
6. Loss Prevention
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for taking steps to detect common signs of shoplifting, theft and other security risks involving customers and coworkers and to promptly communicate potential problems to store management or store security. Duties are performed during the employees entire shift in addition to other duties.
7. Marginal Warehouse Supervisor Functions
During periods of an assigned shift, when customer volume does not require the number of Warehouse Supervisor, The Warehouse Supervisor may be required to perform a combination of the following functions:
1. Clean and maintain the warehouse or showroom areas using basic cleaning supplies.
2. Other related position duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or supervisor.
8. Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Individuals must possess and be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, abilities and skills necessary to the essential functions of the Warehouse Supervisor position, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Ability to read English (or another language as may be required for a specific store) sufficiently to read the pink invoice to match merchandise with the pick ticket.
2. Basic English language writing skills.
3. Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, necessary to verify quantity of merchandise being pulled or being returned to stock.
4. Ability to grasp and lift or otherwise move goods weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted or up to 150 pounds with assistance.
5. Visual ability, corrected, to be able to observe and detect signs of shoplifting or dangerous behavior at a distance of 30 yards.
6. Ability to stand and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a seven and one-half hour shift, with two fifteen-minute breaks and one half hour
meal break.
7. Ability to learn and perform accurately all essential Warehouse Supervisor position functions with minimal direct supervision, within two weeks after an employee begins work.
9. Some knowledge of the Company's mission, purpose and goals, and the role of the Warehouse Supervisor in achieving them
