Job description

Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility, including assignments to walking or stationary posts, depending upon the location. The position will require inspection and control of persons and vehicles while entering or leaving the facility.

Specific duties of a Security Guard include:

  • Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility.

  • Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.

  • Writing investigative reports.

  • Preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed.

  • Roving or walking through the plant areas to check physical facility security.

  • Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.

  • Requires a valid drivers' license.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

***THESE POSITIONS ARE FULL AND PART TIME ON A, B AND C SHIFT***

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Prefer high school diploma or GED or equivalent

  • Experience: Investigative skills helpful but not mandatory.

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations.

  • Environment: Must be able and willing to work in both hot and cold temperatures. Temperatures depend on outside climate.

  • Other: Be able to work both independently under supervision and have a positive work ethic attitude.
