Description
The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center (RBAC) is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our Front Desk Customer Service team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part-time substitute/on-call position, with hours scheduled only as needed to provide coverage for employee absences, vacations, and special events. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on operational needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist guests in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Register customers for programs, memberships, and special events.
  • Assess customer needs and provide accurate information regarding programs, schedules, and facility policies.
  • Process payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain and balance an assigned cash drawer.
  • Check guests into the facility and assist with membership services.
  • Answer general questions and resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
  • Perform other customer service and administrative duties as assigned.

Schedule
  • Part-time substitute/on-call position.
  • Scheduled only as needed for shift coverage and special events.
  • Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Employees should be available to work a minimum of approximately 12 hours per week when scheduled, though hours are not guaranteed.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $18.57-$19.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Part-time, non-benefited substitute position.
  • Eligible for legally required benefits in accordance with RBAC policies.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Must be familiar with basic computer skills (Internet, Email, Keyboard and Mouse).
  • Typing speed of more than 30 wpm.
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, Google Docs and Google Sheets preferred.
