Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Student Committee Letter
Linkage Deadline: Dec. 11, 2015

The committee letter is a comprehensive letter that describes your strengths as an applicant. It draws from multiple letters of recommendations from various stages in your professional and academic career.
Below are a few suggestions as you begin this process:

  • Recommendations may come from a variety of sources such as: Keck science faculty, undergrad or grad school faculty, previous supervisors, physicians you have shadowed, or volunteer coordinators.
  • You are strongly encouraged to submit at least 2 letters from faculty that can comment on your academic ability in the sciences.
  • It will be necessary to have letters that were submitted for your admission to the post-bac program rewritten specifically for the medical school application process.
  • It is a best practice to give an evaluator at least two weeks to write a letter, more if possible.
