General Summary
The Theatre Technician position oversees equipment management, technical services, and ensures the highest production standards are met. The Technician will assist the Music and Drama departments with productions and technical services.
Specific Position Duties
Provide all lighting/sound needs for OC theatre and music productions ensuring highest production values, and coordinate technical needs for all OC productions; Attend technical rehearsals and production meetings for theatre productions; Assist with set-up for OC theatre and music productions; assists in maintaining organization of theatre venues; Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems; Communicate with the physical plant regarding venue needs; Assist in daily operation schedules and production calendars for department productions.
Minimum Qualifications
Education in technical theatre with training in Technical Direction, Audio, and Lighting Design from a regionally accredited or internationally certified university.
