Enterprise Cybersecurity BigID Engineer
The Opportunity:
Leverage BigID's AI-powered data security platform to discover, classify, and protect sensitive data across cloud, on-premises, and AI environments, implementing advanced data loss prevention (DLP) strategies to address unauthorized exfiltration risks and support compliance with standards like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Drive execution of zero-trust frameworks using BigID integrations with tools such as Microsoft Purview. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability and maturity of the organization's DLP program. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in DLP engineering or data security
  • Experience deploying and configuring BigID for data discovery, classification of structured and unstructured data, and mapping across various systems
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python for workflow automation and integration
  • Experience in supporting the development and tuning of DLP policies to reduce false positives and mitigate data leakage scenarios
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to mature DLP programs and train stakeholders on using BigID dashboards and tools
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in cybersecurity tools, such as Microsoft Purview, Trellix, or Tenable
  • Experience with military-grade compliance requirements a plus
  • Experience with creating playbooks for incident response, performing governance audits, and designing scalable data protection strategies in hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of managing DLP ecosystems, including integration across endpoints, networks, and SaaS environments
  • Knowledge of complex compliance and privacy frameworks, including execution of both technical and organizational solutions
  • Possession of strong analytical skills for assessing data risks

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
