Job description

Join our team as an Automotive Paint Sales & Technical Specialist and become the vital link between our top-tier products and valued customers in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City corridor area. In this dynamic role, you'll leverage your sales expertise and technical knowledge to drive growth in the PBE segment by building lasting relationships with collision repair shops, body shops, and automotive refinish professionals. Work Model:

  • Hybrid
  • Monday – Friday

What You Will Do:

  • Identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to meet customer needs and grow revenue
  • Increase sales penetration through product expansion and upselling within existing accounts
  • Provide expert guidance on paint systems, color matching, and application techniques
  • Support product demos, troubleshooting, and onboarding of new customers
  • Collaborate with technical reps and vendors for advanced technical support
  • Maintain strong product and technical knowledge to serve as an industry expert

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • At least two years of outside sales experience in PBE or related industry strongly preferred
  • Experience with major paint lines such as PPG, Axalta, BASF, or Sherwin-Williams is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with automotive paint, body shop supplies, and estimating systems like CCC ONE
  • Self-motivated with excellent relationship development skills and effective communication abilities
  • Ability to operate and handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting at least 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record and the ability to operate company vehicle safely
