Job description

Job Summary

St. Clare of Assisi School has an opening for a part-time Technology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  The technology teacher will work closely with classroom teachers to integrate technology needed to advance student needs.  This will include but not be limited to: 

  • teaching keyboarding skills  

  • Google Workspace, Docs, Slides, Sheets 

  • teaching how to make presentations and reports 

  • Educational apps used in classrooms.

Job Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering instruction in basic technology skills, typing, and software use.
  • Teaching digital citizenship, online safety, and responsible technology behaviors.
  • Introducing foundational coding concepts and problem‑solving activities.
  • Maintaining and organizing computer lab hardware, peripherals, and supplies.
  • Supporting teachers with technology integration and digital tools.
  • Assessing student progress and adapting instruction for diverse ability levels.
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Collaborating with staff and participating in school-wide initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Current and valid teaching certificate.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for technology in education.
  • Growth mindset and passion for helping students build digital confidence.
  • Completion of the Protecting God’s Children workshop (required by the Archdiocese of St. Louis).
