** Flexible schedule, Monday - Friday, No call**

Job Summary

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) administers and provides anesthesia-related care to patients before, during, and after surgery. The role works in a medical supervision model and requires flexibility to work with various medical practitioners; act as a liaison between the patient and their leading care provider. CRNA plays a crucial role in providing all parties with a full understanding of how a procedure needs to be approached to ensure maximum safety and comfort for each patient.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Choose from 8 or 10 hour shifts. Surgeries start at 7:00am. No evenings, no weekends, no Holidays, no on-call

Buffalo Surgery Center  is one of Western New York’s leading multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center, dedicated to the surgical and procedural treatment of patients. Utilizing world-class technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and a highly experienced team, Buffalo Surgery Center is uniquely qualified to meet all the specialized needs of all our patients. The original founders who came together to create Excelsior also wanted to provide timely, convenient, comfortable surgical services to patients all under one company in their community. The original location on Kensington Avenue in Buffalo had one (1) operating room; today the BSC has expanded to two facilities with eight (8) operating rooms and seven (7) procedure rooms.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
  • 2+ years experience anesthesia care in an acute setting experience preferred.
  • National Provider Identified (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire.

Physical Demands

  • Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to provide patient care and operate equipment.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Position requires full range of body motion including ability to position and move patients.
  • Extensive standing and walking.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying carry items weighing 10 pounds or more.
  • Occasional exertion of 25lbs or more of force.
  • Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards/physical risk.

The pay range for this position is determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, training, licenses, designations, and the overall market conditions.
