TITLE Global Scholar Orientation Leader

DEPARTMENT Glavin Office

REPORTS TO Nicole Nicosia, nnicosia@babson.edu

PAY RATE $15/hour

THE OPPORTUNITY

Orientation Leaders assist new Global Scholars in their transition to Babson College and life in the U.S. They serve as role models, provide support during orientation, and help first-year students integrate into the campus community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as a positive role model for new Global Scholars.
  • Attend and actively participate in the four-day Global Scholar Orientation in August 2026, prior to Babson's general undergraduate orientation.
  • Assist with the organization, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of orientation activities.
  • Introduce new students to campus services and off-campus resources.
  • Maintain communication with new scholars via WhatsApp or other platforms.
  • Encourage new students to engage fully in the university environment.
  • While the role officially finishes once orientation concludes, first-year Globies may look to their leaders as trusted confidants.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

  • Must be living on campus for Fall 2026 (early move-in required).
  • Leaders must arrive on August 22nd, 2026 (date subject to confirmation).
