Qualifications

  • Candidate should be qualified for an unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.
  • Must have completed an ACGME approved Internal Medicine residency.
  • Must have completed an ACGME approved nephrology fellowship and be board certified/board eligible.
  • Transplant candidates must have completed an ACGME approved transplant nephrology fellowship and be board certified/board eligible.

The Division of Nephrology

The Division of Nephrology consists of twenty-seven faculty members that serve four hospitals, including Froedtert Hospital, Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital, Froedtert West Bend Hospital, and the Zablocki V.A. Medical Center. Together we provide state-of-the-art, collaborative, and patient-centered care to adult patients with kidney disease, hypertension, and fluid and electrolyte abnormalities. Special areas of emphasis in patient care and research include transplant nephrology, onco-nephrology, kidney stone analysis, and acute kidney injury. Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Solid Organ Transplant Program

The Transplant Center at Froedtert Hospital offers exceptional care for adults who need heart, lung, kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants. Our comprehensive adult transplant programs offer survival rates that meet or exceed national benchmarks. Our Transplant Center is a joint program of Childrens Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital, with vital support from Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin for tissue typing and research initiatives. Representing Wisconsin's most comprehensive pediatric and adult transplant care, the program is recognized for nationally ranked outcomes, internationally known transplant specialists, and end-stage disease management.

The candidate will be based at Froedtert Hospital and Clinics, which is the leading adult medical facility at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, a comprehensive 225-acre medical campus located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Milwaukee.
