Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs Corporate is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to support our Retail teams.  Within this role, you will be responsible for mining, analyzing, visualizing data and the insights it provides.  Through those insights you will support Sunnyside's retail initiatives, including analysis of customer purchase behavior, pricing, profitability, promotions, loyalty program, and competitive analysis.  The role will be highly collaborative, working across all Retail cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Marketing, Regional Operations, Commercial Strategy, Demand Planning, Finance, and IT teams.)

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Analyze, mine, and aggregate data from internal and external sources- drawing actional insights to present and visualize findings clearly to cross-functional partners. 
  • Build and own cross functional tools/processes that go beyond standard business reporting to optimize decision-making across multiple levels of organization.   
  • Establish relationships between retail sales performance and causal factors such as changes in pricing, assortment, and competitive activity.  Ability to synthesize and explain results to decision makers on necessary actions 
  • Provide pricing analysis and calculate ROI of retail promotions.  Make recommendations to merchants such as right breadth, depth, and frequency of promotions. 
  • Create and manage reporting analytics for the Loyalty rewards program.  Provide guidance to retail marketing on which levers should be pulled for each event goal. 
  • Assume the role of data and business expert for retail merchandising, operations, and marketing teams 
  • Use creative problem-solving skills to answer nuanced & complex business questions 
  • Support development of the forecast budget and develop Monthly customer purchase behavior decompositions in coordination with Demand Planning Team. 
  • Act as a liaison and source of truth between the business and BI team, ensuring tableau dashboards are tailored to business reporting needs. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other team members to drive various initiatives forward 
  • Leverage AI tools and large language models to design automated workflows and agent-based interactions that accelerate routine analysis and surface deeper, more nuanced insights. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, data science, quantitative marketing, merchandising, or a related data-driven field 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Operations (or similar) 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel knowledge.   
  • Familiarity with relational databases (SQL) and business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI) 
  • Ability to understand business operations, processes, and translate data into business insights that "tell a story" or aid decision-making 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and communicate data and information with attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Experience with sales data analytics strongly preferred 
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.  Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills
