    Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) is a diverse and student-centered university dedicated to academic excellence, access, and service for the public good. Founded as a teacher's college in 1893, Southern has evolved over the past century into a comprehensive public university of approximately 9,000 students, with significant external research funding, and offering graduate and undergraduate programs in the liberal arts and professional disciplines. We seek to instill in all students the value of discovery with the liberal arts and sciences serving as a foundation for professional development and life-long learning. The University is located in New Haven, Connecticut, a city rich and vibrant with arts and culture, home to many universities, and with easy access to New York City and Boston.
    The Department of Finance and Real Estate at the AACSB Accredited School of Business (SCOB) invites applications for Adjunct Instructors to teach Corporate Finance in the Undergraduate Program, and other courses -as mentioned above- in the MS Financial Risk Management Program from Fall 2025. The SCOB is housed in a brand-new 60,000 Sq. Ft. SCOB building with a Financial Markets Lab and a Bloomberg Lab. A focus on sustainability, professional development of students and business community engagement are woven throughout its programs. Current undergraduate enrollment in the SCOB is about 1000 students. It also has an MBA program, and two newly launched MS Programs; Business Data Analytics and Financial Risk Management.
    Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities
    • Teach up to two Undergraduate Corporate Finance courses per semester.
    • Teach up to two Graduate courses per semester in the abovementioned Finance fields.

    Required Qualifications
    • Masters Degree in Finance, or Economics, or a closely related field at the time of appointment.
    • Ability to teach in traditional classroom format only.
    • Candidates with a Degree or Degrees in Economics should demonstrate significant graduate coursework in the above areas.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Strong preference for candidates with an A.B.D., or a Ph.D., or appropriate professional experience in the above areas.
