FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Student Calendar (Full year 176 days)
Anticipated Hours: Multiple schedules available. Typical before school hours (6:30am-8:30am); lunch/recess hours (late morning- early afternoon); after school hours (3:00pm-6:00pm)
Pay Rate: Range of $17.42-$23.42 per hour (based on experience). Eligible for Board Paid IMRF

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Building Administration and the Extended Time Supervisor, assist in supervising students and maintaining an orderly and safe atmosphere with a focus on creating positive student relationships during non-instructional time during school and as part of our after school extended time program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
Successful prior experience working in a supervisory position in a school district or with children is preferred.
Certification/License: Paraprofessional or Substitute License is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Student supervision during lunch recess and after school during Extended Time
  • Ensures that students following the behavior expectations for before school activities
  • Assists with supervising students throughout the building as needed.
  • Reports to supervisor and/or principals as appropriate regarding infractions, safety concerns, injuries, or other issues involving students..

Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal.
