The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Spanish Teacher at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic School is responsible for providing engaging, developmentally appropriate Spanish instruction to students in a faith-based learning environment. This role fosters students’ language acquisition while supporting their academic, cultural, and spiritual growth in alignment with Catholic values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Spanish language instruction aligned with school curriculum
  • Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports language learning
  • Promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish
  • Incorporate cultural awareness and appreciation into lessons
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and families
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support overall student development
  • Maintain classroom organization and instructional materials
  • Model and uphold Catholic values in all interactions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Spanish, Education, or related field preferred
  • Teaching certification preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Experience teaching children in a classroom setting preferred
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
