Job description

Position Summary:

Delivers and picks up parts and equipment from customers and vendors in a safe and timely manner. Assists the parts and service departments and provides timely shipment of orders and parts check-in.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Delivers to and picks up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores,
  • wholesale accounts, vendors and service technicians.
  • Coordinates pick-up and deliveries when needed from internal customers (parts
  • manager, body shop, wholesale representatives, inventory, parts counter people,
  • shipping/receiving).
  • Verifies that invoices match purchase orders and payments are received for each
  • pick-up when applicable.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring to obtain customer
  • signature on each delivery entry.
  • Acts as liaison between parts sales and customer.
  • Communicates specials and promotions to customers.
  • Unloads truck each night.
  • Basic truck maintenance (filling gas tank, checking oil, keeping it clean, ensuring
  • required inspections are performed) and advises Parts Manager of any major repairs
  • and/or maintenance needed
  • Assists with inventory stocking and posting orders upon arrival to expedite delivery to
  • shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
  • Crates all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when part has been replaced.
  • Effectively pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according to company process and standards.
  • Inspect, check-in and stock shelves with incoming parts.
  • Compare parts received against packing lists to verify accuracy of shipments received.
  • Move heavy items with the help of forklifts, pallet jacks and wheel trucks
  • Negotiate shipping rates with freight companies and couriers.
  • Inspects forklifts daily and schedules maintenance and repairs.

  • Must have the ability to travel throughout assigned route
  • Must have flexible schedule (overtime is unpredictable and unavoidable)
