Job description

H&K Equipment is the premier dealer of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more in Pittsburgh and the greater tristate area. Headquartered minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and with additional facilities in West Virginia, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild the most unique selection of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment in the industry. Our technicians and in-house capabilities enable us to tackle jobs that no other shop can handle.
We are currently seeking an entry level Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for our parts warehouse in Coraopolis, PA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pull product from storage and prepare for shipment
  • Count and verify part quantities
  • Stack cartons on skids, stretch wrap skids, use banding machines and identify contents
  • May be required to prepare shipping documents and contact carriers for pick-up of shipments
  • Load / unload trucks using a forklift
  • Enter received items into the computer system and store in proper bin location
  • Participate in frequent physical inventory
  • Keep warehouse organized, clean and in good condition
  • Follow safety rules such as proper lifting techniques, and use equipment safely
  • Operate forklift safely. We will provide training
  • Work to accomplish company inventory accuracy goals
  • Work with minimal supervision

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow outlined procedures and processes
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Experience with using FedEx and UPS
  • We will train you to operate sit down and stand-up forklifts
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to count, verify, and key on hand quantities into the system
  • Proactive self starter

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand 8 hours per day, reach with hands and arms, and stoop and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
