Middle School
Position: Science Teacher
Reports to: Principal, Elementary/Middle School
Status: Contract
FTE: .5 (11:30am – 3:30pm)
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Summary:
Lourdes Academy of Oshkosh Catholic Middle School seeks a part-time 7th grade science teacher to begin in the 26/27 school year. The Lourdes Academy science teacher will partner with parents, teachers and administration to foster and promote student learning and moral development through the Green Bay Diocesan curriculum. The instructor will teach an enriched 7th grade science academic program (including Project Lead the Way), prepare them for standardized testing, develop science skills, and integrate the Catholic faith successfully into the course curriculum.
This incumbent will have strong leadership skills, is an excellent communicator and can motivate and inspire children in a positive manner. Preference may be given to a practicing Catholic.
Applicant must:
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university
  • Have an advanced knowledge of science
  • Have a passion and commitment for a faith-filled education
  • Be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing/email
  • Upon employment, be able to pass criminal background checks
  • Be able to support, affirm, and uphold, by word and example, the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Hold a valid Wisconsin Teacher License to teach students in the area of middle school grade science.
  • Demonstrate successful working experience with middle school students
  • Possess the ability to develop constructive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
