Registered Nurse Role

Nurses are an integral part of our medical office staff. The Part time Nurse will support our medical offices and ensure that our scholars' health needs are met.

The primary duties of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor students or staff who are ill
  • Supervise prescribed medical treatments and medication administration in accordance with all regulations.
  • Update medical and vaccination records
  • Run a school medical office independently.
  • Administer first aid as needed
  • Participate in emergency services for students and staff in the event of sudden illness or injury.
  • Join the larger staff for professional development as needed
  • Provide assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management, and referral for appropriate medical care of students with acute or chronic health conditions.
  • Conduct vision and hearing screenings; coordinate dental screenings.
  • Participate in the development of IEPs and 504 plans to address individual needs
  • Prepare health reports for Nurse Leader, Department of Education and Department of Public Health.

This is an academic year position with July off. School hours are 8:25-4:00 for staff. This position will be scheduled for a consistent 2 days a week.

Compensation: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Starting hourly rate for an RN is $35.
