Job description

PediCare Nursing Agency is hiring compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one private duty nursing care for a pediatric patient in Union Church, MS.

We currently have Part-Time and PRN day shifts available, making this a great opportunity for nurses looking for daytime hours with the flexibility to choose available shifts that work with their schedule.

ABOUT THE CASE

Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a pediatric patient in the comfort of their home.

Clinical needs include:

  • G-tube feedings and care

  • Respiratory assessment and interventions

  • Seizure precautions and monitoring

  • Medication administration

  • Ongoing nursing assessment and monitoring

  • Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

The assigned nurse will provide one-on-one care throughout the shift, allowing for focused assessment, intervention, and support of the patient and family.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe, skilled, and compassionate nursing care according to the physician's plan of care

  • Perform ongoing assessments and monitor for changes in patient condition

  • Provide respiratory assessment and interventions as ordered and clinically indicated

  • Maintain seizure precautions and respond appropriately to seizure activity

  • Administer G-tube feedings, medications, treatments, and other ordered interventions

  • Assist with activities of daily living as needed

  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation

  • Communicate changes or concerns appropriately with the clinical team

  • Educate and support the patient's family regarding home-care needs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi

  • Current BLS certification

  • Current TB screening within the past 12 months

  • Ability to meet all required state background screening requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience

  • Pediatric, private duty, G-tube, seizure, or respiratory-care experience is a plus
