Job description

We are looking to add to our team and have a Part-Time opening for a LPN/RN for Windemere in Riverside, Mo. The LPN/RN will work to provide quality resident care by assuring residents' safety, physical, emotional, spiritual, and medical needs are met using excellent leadership and customer service skills. The LPN is responsible for the coordination of health care needs, evaluation and improvement of program services and the delivery of high-quality services through the nursing process. Ensure quality services consistent with the philosophy of the Residential Care Community and comply with applicable state laws and regulations. Conduct all responsibilities within the Scope of Practice dictated by the state. Meet Federal and State regulations, as applicable. Provide personal care services, assistance, support, evaluation, and supervision to residents, as needed. Candidates will have the ability to enrich the residents' lives by addressing their physical, intellectual, emotional and social well-being.


Essential Functions

  • Prepares and administers medications following infection control and safety policies.
  • Documents legibly, neatly, and accurately in the resident's chart according to community policies.
  • Receives physician's orders and maintains MAR according to community's policies.
  • Processes all physician's orders, new admissions, and discharges according to community's policies.
  • Makes rounds to assure residential safety and that needs are being met.
  • Monitors vital signs and documents according to physician's orders.
  • Assesses residents' medical condition after unusual occurrences and documents appropriately.
  • Checks medication cart on a daily basis to assure medications are in proper order. Destroys and logs all expired, discontinued, or unused medications according to community's policies.
  • Assist residents with baths, showers, toileting, grooming and ambulating, as needed.
  • Maintains open, honest communication with the administrator to ensure a positive team environment is operating within the staff.
  • Maintains friendly, positive relationships with residents and their family members, and public administrators.
  • Maintains confidentiality of residents' personal information in and out of the community and protects and supports residents' rights.
  • Answers telephone promptly and professionally. Assist caller or route to the appropriate person for resolution.
  • Weekly meetings with company staff to check in. Clear communication is a must for this position.
  • Assess new and existing residents, develops Individualized Treatment Plans and meets with residents and/or family to discuss the plan of care.
  • Ensure that medical supplies are in stock or put in for order.
  • Assists other resident care staff as needed.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for the residents, families, vendors, and guests.
  • Maintains a positive customer service environment and practices honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Knowledgeable of state regulations for residential care facilities.
  • Ability to formulate and write policies and procedures.
  • Ability and skills to lead others and foster an environment that is receptive to change for improvement of quality resident care.

  • Knowledgeable of conflict resolution techniques.
  • Must maintain a current driver's license and comply with all requirements of the community's policies.


Education/Experience:

  • Active Missouri LPN or RN license preferred.
  • Proven, positive leadership in a healthcare environment.
