What is a Part Time Remote Crime Analyst?

A Part Time Remote Crime Analyst is a professional who works part-time hours, often from home or another remote location, analyzing crime data to help law enforcement agencies identify patterns, trends, and possible suspects. Their duties may include gathering and interpreting crime statistics, creating reports, and using specialized software to map criminal activities. This role supports police departments or other organizations by providing actionable insights to improve public safety, all while offering flexible working hours and the ability to work outside a traditional office setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Remote Crime Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Remote Crime Analyst, you generally need a background in criminal justice, data analysis, and research, often supported by a relevant degree or coursework. Familiarity with crime mapping software, statistical analysis tools like Excel or SPSS, and law enforcement databases is typically required. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective written communication are standout soft skills for this role. These skills and tools are crucial for accurately interpreting data, identifying crime patterns, and providing actionable insights to support law enforcement efforts remotely.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time remote crime analysts, and how can they be addressed?

Part-time remote crime analysts often face challenges such as coordinating with law enforcement teams across different schedules, accessing secure data remotely, and staying updated on evolving crime trends. To address these, it's important to establish clear communication channels, use secure VPNs or remote desktop tools, and participate in regular virtual meetings to stay aligned with team objectives. Proactively seeking feedback and leveraging online training resources can also help analysts stay effective and connected while working remotely.

Job description

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) - Part-time

$80110/hr Flexible Schedule Hybrid (Remote + In-person)

A rare opportunity to join a growing ABA practice as an early team member, with a real voice in shaping how we care for children and families - and the culture we build together.

The role is flexible from the start: come in part-time and grow into full-time if and when it works for you. You'll work closely with experienced clinical advisors, backed by a leadership team that's built and run ABA organizations before - real mentorship and support, not autonomy without a net.

What you'll do:

  • Carry and manage a client caseload, serving as the clinical standard-bearer for the organization
  • Own documentation quality, utilization reviews, and oversight of treatment plans
  • Supervise RBTs across active cases, ensuring treatment fidelity and consistent skill-building

What's different here:

  • Mentorship: work directly alongside our Clinical Team you'll be supported, not thrown in the deep end
  • Flexibility: start at 1020 hours/week and grow into full-time if and when it works for you
  • Reasonable workload: proper caseload sizing and RBT ratios from day one no heroics required
  • Mission: serve families who've been let down by fragmented, impersonal care

Compensation & Growth:

  • Base compensation ranges from $80-110 per hour, plus quarterly performance bonuses
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus

What you bring:

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing (Required)
  • Virginia BCBA licensure (Required)

    Benefits:

    • Health, dental, and vision from day one
    • 401(k) with matching
    • PTO that you'll actually use
    • Referral bonuses when you bring great people in
    • CEU support staying current matters here
    • Parental leave
    • MondayFriday daytime hours, no weekends
