COUNTY OF WARREN

RECREATION CENTER ATTENDANT

This is a part-time position under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Department, opening, closing and monitoring facility use and assisting with and supervising recreational activities; does related work as required.

Duties performed:

  • Opens and closes facilities;
  • Sets up facilities; provides supplies and equipment;
  • Provides information to the public regarding center activities;
  • Assists with scheduling of facilities and program registration;
  • Supervises the conduct of a variety of recreational activities;
  • Maintain facility appearance and cleanliness, assist with the set up or reset of rooms and monitor program instruction.
  • Enforces standards of discipline and conduct by program participants;
  • Assists in the organizing and preparation of recreational activities;
  • Maintains stores and inventories recreation equipment, materials and supplies;
  • Preparing facilities for use; overseeing facility operations; serving as scorekeeper; monitoring activities and enforcing rules.
  • Assist in maintaining the concession stand inventory.
  • Responsible for collecting money for pool admission, concessions, and dealing with the general public.
  • Completes all corresponding paperwork.
  • Uses cash register, makes correct change.
  • Sell seasonal passes to patrons.

Candidates should be reliable, punctual, and professional, must be minimum of 18 years of age, possess a valid Virginia driver's license and pass a background check. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required. The hourly rate begins at $15.51 with no benefits, up to 29 hours per week.
