Position: Radiologic Technologist (Part-Time)

Specialty: Orthopedics/Sports Medicine

Setting: Office/Outpatient Imaging Office

Pay Type: Hourly; 1099/Contracted; Biweekly payroll

Schedule: 1-2 weekends per month; Saturday and Sunday 5-hour shifts; weekdays as available

Job Summary: 

A Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. They operate imaging equipment, position patients for accurate images, ensure patient safety, and maintain detailed records. Rad Techs follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate X-Ray Machine/Take radiological images
  • Operate PACs system
  • Process charges and related paperwork using computer/EMR as directed
  • Clean, maintain and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment
  • Protect patient and other personnel from radiation hazards
  • Collaborate with the ordering provider
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and report equipment malfunction to Radiology Manager or designee
  • Prepare copies of X-ray CD'S for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as required
  • Assist with the transportation of patients between the examination rooms and Radiology department

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher from an ARRT-approved program.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Medical Imaging
  • Valid State License/Certification

Preferred:

  • Orthopedic or Sports Medicine: 1 year (Preferred)
