Property & Casualty Insurance Sales Producer

Manhattan, NY

Full-time, Part-time

Job description

Property and Casualty Insurance Sales Founding Producer

We're an early-stage, AI-native P&C agency looking for our first producer to help us build from the ground up. This is a founding role with a high base salary plus commission, once you are full-time. You'll write business from day one, but just as importantly, you'll shape how we work. We're strong on technology and product but new to the producer's day-to-day, so we want someone who can tell us where the friction is — which tools, workflows, and processes actually make a producer faster — and help us build an operation that lets you sell more with less busywork.

The ideal person is an experienced, licensed P&C producer with their own book or pipeline, an enterprising streak, and opinions about how agencies should run. You're comfortable being the first one in the door and growing into the leader of your own producer team as we scale. Part-time to start (with hourly compensation), with a clear path to expand as the agency grows.

Compensation:

$80 - $120 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Execute effective sales-based marketing strategies like prospecting, cold calling, networking, and more to gain new clients
  • Have productive meetings with new, existing, and prospective clients to listen attentively to their needs and understand their financial circumstances before recommending ideal insurance policies
  • Maintain accurate customer records, bookkeeping logs, and insurance sales databases to report progress toward monthly goals
  • Tool & workflow advisor — Identify where the current process slows a producer down and work with the team to build tooling and workflows that remove the friction.
  • Carrier & market input — Help prioritize which carriers and appointments to pursue based on where you see real demand.
  • Process building — Help establish our quoting, binding, and servicing workflows from scratch.
  • Team blueprint — Define the hiring profile and ramp plan for the producer team you'll eventually lead.

Qualifications:
  • An accredited P&C insurance license is necessary for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • Candidates must have core computer skills and a demonstrated capability using Microsoft Office programs
  • Superior customer service, communication, and analytical skills are necessary
  • Familiarity with accounting and sales-related software or programs is a plus
  • 2-3+ years of experience as a producer
