Job description

Find your purpose as a Prior Authorization Assistant with CentraCare. The Prior Authorization team processes all health plan/payer utilization review requirements, which include managed care referrals, pre-certifications, and prior authorizations in a timely and accurate manner. They work closely with internal physicians and staff as well as health care providers outside the clinic to facilitate quality patient care and demonstrate excellent customer service. Supporting and implementing patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. A Prior Authorization Assistant supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Schedule:

  • Part-time | 40 hours every two weeks 
  • Day shift |Hours between Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Majority remote; needed onsite for occasional meeting and training 

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay begins at $21.88 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
    • Pay range:  $20.71 - $31.68 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree, preferably in Health Information Technology (HIT) or another health-care related program
  • 1 year of relevant healthcare experience in lieu of education
