Job description

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician in beautiful Vancouver, Washington.
PeaceHealth is seeking a local BC/BE Physiatrist to join our Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation collegial provider team, on a per diem basis. Our team is dedicated to determining the cause of pain or limitations and then developing the best plan of management. Working together with other physicians, psychologists, nurses, and therapists, they help their patients return to their highest levels of independent functioning. PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center offers a 14-bed (all private rooms) hospital-based physical rehabilitation program specifically designed to help patients become as independent as possible following an injury or illness.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an inpatient and outpatient setting, with experience and willingness to perform electrodiagnostic studies (EMG and NCV) and hopefully offer Botox treatment for spasticity (MIGRAINE AND OR TORTICOLLIS,) TPI, SI Injections, Prolotherapy. This unique opportunity has tremendous for growth of the program introducing sports medicine, ongoing community engagement with the free clinic, and teaching opportunities with residents both inpatient and outpatient.
Highlights about the practice:
  • Join an established practice of 3 experienced providers and 1:1 MA
  • Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Per Diem Schedule: Variable/Flexible with no call
  • Outpatient practice seeing ~10-20 patients daily, PT, OT, ST, Ultrasound, Labs, and Radiology on campus, Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit established in 1993, CARF accredited since 1996, and CARF Stroke Specialty Program Designation since 2005
  • Level II trauma rehabilitation designation with comprehensive rehabilitation continuum
