Floor Guard - Part-Time
Pier 2 Roller Rink at Brooklyn Bridge Park
Are you looking for a fun, rewarding part-time job in an exciting, team-oriented environment? If you're friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for others, we'd love to meet you.
Located on the Brooklyn waterfront with stunning views of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty, Pier 2 Roller Rink is a unique destination for locals and visitors alike. We're seeking dependable, energetic Floor Guards to help maintain a safe and fun skating environment for all guests.
Position: Part-Time (15-25 hours per week)
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Location: 150 Furman Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201 (back of the pier, near the basketball courts)
Responsibilities
  • Provide a clean, fun, friendly, and safe experience for every guest
  • Monitor and maintain the skate floor and skate counter before, during, and after sessions
  • Enforce facility rules diplomatically and consistently
  • Supervise skaters to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Communicate with the Session Manager, team members, and DJ regarding safety concerns
  • Respond to and document incidents according to procedure
  • Verify that all adult skaters have signed required waiver forms (Skater Agreement Cards in NY) and check Skater ID expiration dates
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties and assist in other areas as needed

Requirements
  • Must know how to skate (training provided)
  • Strong awareness and attention to safety
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
