As a part-time personal assistant, your job is to help manage the daily schedule for your client. In this role, you may organize their office, perform various administrative tasks, and otherwise help your employer improve their productivity. Part-time personal assistants usually work in-person, but it is possible to find remote versions of this job, especially at companies whose employees already work around the country or the world. As a personal assistant, you may answer emails and phone calls, perform data entry, run errands, deliver memos, and perform any other miscellaneous tasks as needed. The key difference lies in the work environment and scope of responsibilities.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time personal assistants, and how can they be managed?

Part-time personal assistants often juggle diverse tasks and shifting priorities for their employers, which can make time management a key challenge. Balancing multiple responsibilities, such as scheduling appointments, managing communications, and handling errands, requires strong organizational skills and clear communication. Additionally, since part-time roles may involve working with limited information or less frequent check-ins, staying proactive and maintaining detailed task lists can help ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Building a strong rapport with your employer and setting clear expectations can also lead to a more effective and rewarding working relationship.

About Our Family
We are a small-but-mighty household built on purpose, warmth, and intention. Our home is a nurturing, welcoming space where routines matter, relationships are valued, and laughter is part of everyday life. Our days are full with early mornings, school drop-offs, business responsibilities, and cozy evenings together, and we may soon be welcoming a newborn to our family.
Alongside running a busy household, we also operate a growing clinic, which means there are many moving pieces to keep life running smoothly. We're looking for someone who can step confidently into both environments, anticipate needs, stay organized, and bring a calm, proactive presence without needing constant direction.
This role is ideal for someone who finds fulfillment in supporting others behind the scenes, takes pride in creating order, and wants to be part of a home and workplace where their contributions truly make a difference.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You bring hopeful energy into every room you walk into. You are extremely organized, confident, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoy being a resource for the people around you. You are a critical thinker who comes prepared with ideas and solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do. You're tech-savvy and know how to use social media to support and promote a business. You are a natural people person - comfortable picking up the phone, interacting with clinic staff and patients' families, and representing the household and business with warmth and professionalism. You share a values-driven approach to life and work, and you understand the weight and joy of supporting a family that is doing meaningful work in the world. You are someone who notices what needs to happen before being asked - and then quietly makes it happen.

  • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing the family vehicle as needed

  • Batch prep one breakfast and one lunch per week, each lasting a few days
  • Follow dairy-free dietary needs and preferences
  • Assist with grocery shopping or curbside pickup coordination
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization

Laundry & Linens
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry
  • Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry areas

Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Research vendors, coordinate repair quotes, and manage scheduling
  • Be present as point of contact when contractors or vendors arrive during work hours
