The Opportunity:
Booz Allen is looking for an Oracle Database Developer who also has experience working hand in hand with clients to develop impactful solutions. In this role you understand the system's data, technology, and business rules. Your combination of people skills and technical knowledge provides the perfect combination to help clients define database requirements, identify needed system improvements, and overcome their most difficult challenges to achieve complete and accurate systems.
On our team, you'll develop and maintain database features, custom reports, and queries in an agile environment. You'll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You'll also understand the business and user needs clearly to be a key team member who helps fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. What You'll Work On:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements and translate them for technical teams.
  • Analyze information to identify, plan, and design enhancements and modifications to an existing database application.
  • Design, develop, and modify database software including database structure, reports, views, and packages.
  • Develop RESTful services and APIs to share data across systems and organizations.
  • Modify templates and develop ETL scripts to load data into the database.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience developing database source code for software applications through the full software development lifecycle
  • 4+ years of experience with professional software development using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • 4+ years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and webservices with attention to secure and efficient data exchange
  • 4+ years of experience working with Agile software development methodologies and stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements and translate them for technical teams
  • Experience with developing and maintaining custom reports and queries using PL or SQL
  • Experience in data analysis, data migrations, and data modeling
  • Experience with writing scripts to support DDL and DML operations and SQL database query optimization or performance tuning
  • Experience managing requirements within project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with source control systems, including Git
  • Experience working with Oracle Spatial and geodatabases
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
