Job description

Functional NetSuite (Oracle) Consultant – Manufacturing & Finance Focus (Part-Time / Contract)

  • Location: Remote or Hybrid
  • Schedule: Part-Time – Flexible Weekly Hours (TBD)
  • Type: Consultant / Independent Contractor

We are seeking an experienced NetSuite (Oracle) Consultant to provide ongoing functional and technical support for our NetSuite ERP system. We implemented NetSuite within the last two years and are looking for a highly skilled professional who can partner with our team on a consistent weekly basis to improve reporting, optimize system functionality, and ensure data integrity—particularly within a manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for a former Oracle/NetSuite professional or an experienced NetSuite power user with deep knowledge of manufacturing operations and a strong finance background.

  • Report Development & Optimization
  • Design, build, and maintain customized NetSuite reports and dashboards
  • Improve financial and operational reporting accuracy and usability
  • Support KPI tracking for manufacturing and finance teams
  • System Enhancements & Updates
  • Implement system changes, configurations, and workflow improvements
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process automation solutions
  • Support testing and deployment of system updates
  • Data Integrity & Cleanup
  • Perform data audits and cleanup within NetSuite
  • Ensure accurate master data (items, vendors, customers, BOMs, etc.)
  • Develop best practices for maintaining clean and reliable system data
  • Cross-Functional Support
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Manufacturing teams
  • Provide ongoing system guidance and user support
  • Recommend improvements aligned with business goals

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Financial reporting
  • Inventory and supply chain processes
  • Cost accounting and manufacturing workflows
  • Experience building custom reports and saved searches in NetSuite
  • Proven track record of implementing system improvements and enhancements
  • Experience with data migration, cleanup, and governance
  • Former Oracle/NetSuite employee or certified NetSuite Consultant
  • Background in Finance, Accounting, or Cost Accounting
  • Experience supporting mid-sized manufacturing organizations

Ideal Candidate

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a consulting capacity
  • Proactive problem-solver who can recommend solutions—not just execute tasks
  • Strong communicator who can translate technical information for business users
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement
