Full time / Direct Hire

We are looking for an IT Applications Lead, NetSuite with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in NetSuite development, customization, integration, and system architecture. This role requires strong technical expertise in SuiteScript (1.0/2.0), SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk (Web Services API), and SuiteCloud development tools.
As a NetSuite Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing custom NetSuite solutions to support business processes across multiple departments. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external partners to enhance system capabilities, streamline workflows, and develop scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
NetSuite Development & Customization
  • Lead SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.0) development to create custom scripts, workflows, and automation solutions.
  • Develop custom NetSuite applications, workflows, and dashboards to optimize business processes.
  • Design and implement SuiteFlow automations for approvals, notifications, and process efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain custom records, saved searches, reports, KPIs, and dashboards to support user needs.

System Integration & API Development
  • Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other enterprise applications using SuiteTalk (Web Services API), SuiteScript RESTlets, and middleware solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to manage third-party integrations (CRM, payment gateways, inventory management, etc.).
  • Support data migration, ETL processes, and API-driven workflows to ensure smooth data exchange across systems.

System Architecture & Optimization
  • Evaluate and recommend best practices for system scalability, performance optimization, and security enhancements.
  • Drive technical roadmap planning for NetSuite enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Conduct system audits to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and technical debt.
  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and security best practices to protect sensitive data.

Business Process & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with Finance, Sales, Operations, and IT teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within NetSuite.
  • Provide technical leadership on NetSuite-related projects, including system enhancements and new module implementations.
  • Assist with system architecture planning, solution design, and implementation strategies.
  • Partner with end-users to identify pain points and proactively enhance system functionality.

Troubleshooting, Support & System Maintenance
  • Provide tier-2 and tier-3 technical support to resolve system issues, integration failures, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Oversee system updates, patches, and version upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Document technical configurations, scripts, integrations, and best practices for system administration.

Competencies, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications
Experience & Certifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite technical experience with development, customization, and integrations.
  • Proven experience in SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.0), SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk (Web Services API), and SuiteAnalytics Connect.
  • NetSuite Developer, SuiteCloud, or ERP Consultant certifications highly preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in SuiteScript (JavaScript-based scripting framework) for custom development.
  • Strong proficiency in NetSuite REST API, SOAP API, and third-party integration platforms (e.g., Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft).
  • Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) for custom deployment and package management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, JSON, REST, and web services for reporting and data extraction.
  • Advanced skills in NetSuite data management, CSV imports, and data migration techniques.
  • Experience integrating NetSuite with CRM, eCommerce, financial platforms, or custom web applications.
