Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Dayton, OH


Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or a new graduate to join our team and provide in-house coverage at a high-volume, Level III NICU at Miami Valley Hospital. This position is open to full or part-time candidates.

Miami Valley Hospital is a regional perinatal-neonatal center with:

  • 67-bed Level III NICU
  • Over 5,00 deliveries annually
  • Approximately 900 NICU admissions each year

You'll be part of a collaborative, high-acuity environment with strong clinical support and exposure to a wide range of neonatal cases.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Role Overview:

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill and high-risk newborns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending high-risk deliveries
  • Assessing and stabilizing critically ill neonates
  • Providing ongoing inpatient management and care
  • Collaborating closely with neonatologists and the multidisciplinary NICU team
  • Supporting families through education and communication during a critical time
Ideal Candidates:
  • Experienced NNPs or new graduates with strong clinical training
  • Passion for high-acuity neonatal care
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented NICU setting
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
