Database Administrator / Power BI & Data Analytics SpecialistJob Summary

The Database Administrator / Power BI & Data Analytics Specialist supports enterprise data platforms and reporting environments for federal government clients. This role is responsible for administering databases, designing secure and scalable Power BI dashboards, integrating multiple data sources, and enforcing data governance and access controls. The position requires strong expertise in Microsoft data ecosystems, analytics delivery, and compliance within regulated government environments, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain enterprise database and reporting environments supporting federal programs
  • Design, develop, and manage Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets for government stakeholders
  • Build and optimize data models integrating SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and external data sources
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls to ensure secure data access
  • Develop and maintain ETL and data integration workflows for reporting and analytics
  • Automate data refresh, transformation, and validation using Power Automate and Microsoft tools
  • Support data governance, documentation, audit readiness, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor and optimize database and reporting performance
  • Provide Tier II / Tier III support for data, reporting, and analytics platforms
