PART-TIME Medical Assistant

Reports to: Office Manager

Angel Kids Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team located at our corporate office in Jacksonville.

This position is responsible for assisting with patient care and supporting the clinical team to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greets, receives, and prepares patients for appointments and procedures; measures and records vital signs and other relevant patient information.
  • Responds to patient questions either in person or by phone in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assists in resolving patient concerns or complaints, utilizing sound judgment and referring issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintains nursing stations and examination areas in accordance with OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
  • Maintains inventory of medical supplies and materials and reports shortages as needed.
  • Receives and screens telephone calls and directs them appropriately.
  • Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and operational demands while maintaining quality patient care.
  • Reviews and records vaccine documentation, including vaccine reconciliation and verification.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

    This is a PART TIME position.

    Workdays and hours may vary:
  • Monday Friday: 8:30 a.m. 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday Sunday: 8:45 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
  • This position may require weekend and holiday hours depending on clinic coverage needs.

    Travel between Angel Kids Pediatrics clinic locations may be required to support patient care and operational needs. Reliable transportation is required to perform these duties.
