Job description

Who We Are
At Health Haven and Health Synergy Clinical Research, we are building a modern and integrated model of psychiatric care that combines high-quality outpatient treatment, interventional psychiatry, and industry-sponsored pharmaceutical clinical research.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care while helping advance the future of psychiatric treatment through ethical clinical research and innovative therapeutic approaches. With continued expansion across Florida, our organization offers physicians the opportunity to grow within a collaborative, high-performing environment focused on clinical excellence, innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term professional development.
We are committed to creating an environment where physicians can thrive clinically, professionally, and financially while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient care.
Who You Are
You are a compassionate and patient-centered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes through evidence-based care. You bring strong clinical judgment, diagnostic expertise, and a collaborative approach to patient care. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with opportunities to provide care both in person and virtually throughout the week. You are comfortable working across clinical settings, thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and are committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and ongoing professional growth.
What You'll Do
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients across a variety of mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and support teams to deliver integrated behavioral healthcare while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence.

  • Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, obtain detailed psychiatric and medical histories, assess mental status, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaboration & Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, referral sources, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and optimize patient outcomes
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records in accordance with organizational policies, state and federal regulations, HIPAA requirements, and professional standards
  • Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as clinically appropriate while evaluating treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient adherence
  • Patient Education & Support: Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, lifestyle modifications, and available community resources
  • Quality Improvement & Clinical Excellence: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, staff meetings, and continuing education activities to support best practices and organizational goals
  • Safety & Risk Management: Assess and manage psychiatric crises, evaluate suicide and safety risks, develop appropriate intervention plans, and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide supportive counseling, psychoeducation, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions within the scope of practice while reinforcing treatment goals and patient engagement
  • Other Duties as Assigned
What You'll Bring
  • Active and unrestricted Florida PMHNP-BC and APRN licensure
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority in good standing
  • 5+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • 1+ year of psychiatric experience required
  • Experience treating patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric conditions
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed, with total scheduled hours remaining at 40 hours per week
  • Ability to travel between practice locations and hospital settings as required
  • Strong diagnostic, assessment, and medication management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and clinical documentation
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
