Product Regulatory Intern

*Position requires at least 20 hours a week on site at our Corporate office in Brookfield, WI*

Support regulatory and quality documentation processes by maintaining product information sheets, customer specifications, and vendor data for technical and non-food grade product. Maintain product and formula integrity by coordinating external testing for imported materials, managing regulatory flags, and assisting with item setup. Contribute to special projects under guidance of the Regulatory Affairs Manager.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Publish and maintain Hydrite's Product Information Sheets for Hydrite manufactured products
  • Review and maintain Customer Specification Agreements
  • Coordinate inbound testing for foreign food products.
  • Complete Item Set-Ups for New Size, Relabel, Rebrand projects
  • Assist with Optiva formula edits and miscellaneous Optiva/M3 requests
  • Maintain vendor specification sheets and example COAs for Tech and Food Grade products
  • Handle item inactivation and purges
  • Maintain regulatory flags for TSCA 12b, mercury, lead
  • Perform special projects assigned by the Regulatory Affairs Manager

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the Regulatory Affairs Manager.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree, or working towards a Bachelor's degree, in natural science is required, preferably in chemistry or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must be able to research regulatory issues, including CFR interpretation
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
