Social Media Coordinator: Part-Time
Awaken Las Vegas is seeking a passionate and energetic Social Media Coordinator to work 20 โ€“ 25 hours weekly Sunday through Thursday. This role will manage and execute social media objectives to successfully accomplish the goals and objectives of the communication plans as it relates to social media at Awaken Las Vegas.
POSITION SUMMARY
Awaken Las Vegas staff are committed to being Christ centered, biblically based, Spirit led, ceaselessly praying, community serving, diversity embracing, God glorifying and an excellence striving community that is filled with Godโ€™s love. As such, each staff member is a part of the ministry by teaching the Bible, praying for and with others, and carrying out the vision of Awaken Las Vegas.
As a member of the Creative Department, you are a support to all ministries, initiatives, and goals of Awaken Las Vegas. You will promote, engage, and grow the social media presence of Awaken Las Vegas social media presence under the direction of the Creative Director. You will increase engagement, followers, and likes across all platforms as it relates to your monthly goals. As the leader of the Social Media Volunteer team, you will work to capture video and still images that represents the brand, life, and ministry of Awaken Las Vegas throughout the week, during weekly ministry gatherings, and for special events.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL:
  • Support all ministries, initiatives, and communication efforts of Awaken Las Vegas.
  • Execute creative and communication tasks with excellence and attention to detail.
  • Support the Creative Administrator in coordinating communication between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Assist in maintaining organization, timelines, and accountability projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
  • Develop and execute a plan for content creation on a weekly basis.
  • Development and Implementation of social media strategies and plans to grow Awaken Las Vegasโ€™s social media platforms.
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of all social media campaigns and posts on all platforms and church accounts that accurately reflect the culture and convictions.
  • Give input and execute online events and ads as they relate to the communication plan goals per event including Facebook, Instagram and Google ads.
  • Provide regular communication, support, and direction to ministry leaders who manage their own ministry-related social media sub-accounts as it relates to seasonal and campaign goals and messaging in order to keep consistency across the organizationโ€™s social media presence.
  • Build-up, organize, schedule, regularly communicate with, and assign tasks to social media volunteer team to cover social media goals for each month.
  • Guide the Awaken Las Vegas brand according to established brand guidelines with vision for deepening and enhancing our brand with input from the Creative team.
  • Maintain and provide monthly data showing prior month performance across all platforms to Communication Director and with the Analytics Reporting team.
  • Work with vendors to edit and approve the Sunday Content.
  • Weekly offloading and organizing of footage and photos.
CONTENT amp; PHOTOGRAPHY:
  • Work alongside of the Photography volunteer team to capture photos of all weekly services and special events.
  • Creates weekly content objectives for the social media volunteer team to capture based on the weekly needs.
  • Capture images of various reoccurring ministry gatherings that takes place within the ministry life of Awaken Las Vegas.
  • Collaboratively works with the Media Manager for video and photography content on various church-wide projects.
  • Provide photography content for all special print and digital projects.
MINISTERIAL
  • Disciple and equip the congregants of Awaken Las Vegas to do the work of the ministry.
  • Clearly present the Gospel, the good news of salvation whenever the occasion arises.
  • Lead, initiate and participate in prayer with whoever needs it; congregants, students, co-workers and the public.
  • Ability to answer questions in alignment with the Bible.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • 2 years minimum experience in a social media role preferred.
  • Experience using and growing a social media presence for an organization.
  • Experience in creating and executing content strategies.
  • Experience capturing content using DSLR and mirrorless cameras
  • Experience editing photo and video content using industry-standard tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
