Clark-Wilkins Elementary School is seeking a part-time employee to support our Library Media Specialist. Hours for this position are 15 hours per week. We are looking for an individual with a passion for books and libraries, experience with elementary school-age children, that presents with a positive attitude, and has the ability to create and sustain a positive, structured environment in the library. In addition, the individual should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to find and utilize written and digital resources to support students and staff.
Requirements:
1. Work well with children and adults.
2. Able to multi-task; be patient, flexible, and organized.
3. Knowledge of PC computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
4. Excellent communication skills, well-organized, efficient, reliable, independent, and well-developed collaborative skills with students and educators.
Qualifications:
1. Enthusiastic, articulate, creative, people-oriented, and caring.
2. Demonstrated commitment to, "Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners."
3. Passion for the library and sparking joy for literacy with students.
