Bluebonnet Lawn & Landscaping is growing, and we are looking for a Field Estimator to help us respond to new client requests. This is the perfect role for a self-starter, a college student with a business mindset, or a local resident who wants to turn their knowledge of The Woodlands into extra income.
We provide the training and the tools; you provide the hustle and the customer service.
About Bluebonnet
For over 35 years, Bluebonnet Landscaping & Lawn Care has been a trusted, locally-owned staple in The Woodlands. We are a small but mighty company currently in an exciting season of growth. With two dedicated lawn maintenance crews, a full-time landscaping crew, and immediate plans to expand to a third maintenance crew, we need a driven Field Estimator to help keep our teams busy and continue building our legacy in the community!

The Pay & Perks
  • Base Pay: $13.00 – $17.00/hour (Based on experience).
  • Performance Bonuses: Earn commission on every landscaping project sold to new customers and for every recurring maintenance client signed. Your bonus income is not capped.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: We pay the full IRS federal rate ($0.725 per mile) for every mile you drive for work.
  • Flexible Schedule: Work within core business hours (8 AM - 5 PM), but you pick the specific times that work for you.
What You Will Do
  • Visit Properties: Receive a list of potential clients in The Woodlands area and drive to their homes to assess their lawn and landscaping needs.
  • Create Estimates: Use our software to help create estimates, measure properties, take notes, and generate professional quotes.
  • Client Communication: Call and text interested homeowners to answer questions and close the deal.
  • Manage the Sales Pipeline: Keep track of your open leads to ensure no potential customer is left waiting.
  • Want more hours?: While estimating is a part-time gig, individuals who are interested in cross-training and working in the field with our installation and maintenance crews can pick up additional shifts.
What We Need From You
  • Math Skills: Must possess basic geometry skills for calculating total perimeter length, area, and volume. You will need to calculate edging (linear feet), mowing (square feet), and landscape materials (cubic yards).
  • Passion For Plants: The ideal fit for this role is passionate about Texas gardening, has knowledge of local flora, and can provide creative ideas when visiting with customers.
  • Local Knowledge: You must live in or near The Woodlands/Spring area to minimize travel time.
  • Tech Comfort: We rely heavily on Google Workspace. Experience with this is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Reliable Transportation: You need a dependable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Professionalism: You are the face of Bluebonnet. We need someone friendly, articulate, and professional.
Preferred Skills (Will Train)
  • Experience with Google Drive, Sheets, and Docs.
  • Basic knowledge of lawn care or landscaping (identifying turf, beds, etc.).
