The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a motivated and dependable Part-Time Landscaping Attendant to support the maintenance and beautification of our outdoor spaces in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This role assists in preserving landscaped areas, walkways, pool surroundings, and resort grounds to ensure a safe, welcoming, and visually appealing environment for guests and team members.The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, demonstrates attention to detail, and supports the Grounds and Engineering teams in maintaining the natural beauty that enhances the overall guest experience.


Your Future CareerLandscape & Grounds Support

  • Assist with mowing, trimming, edging, and maintaining turf areas throughout the resort.
  • Support planting, watering, fertilizing, and seasonal landscape maintenance.
  • Remove weeds, debris, and fallen branches from landscaped and guest-access areas.
  • Help maintain trees, shrubs, flower beds, and natural surroundings.
  • Assist in monitoring irrigation systems and report concerns promptly.

Exterior Cleanliness & Guest Area Presentation

  • Maintain clean and safe walkways, patios, entryways, and parking areas.
  • Remove trash and debris from exterior grounds and high-traffic areas.
  • Assist with snow removal and ice mitigation during winter conditions.
  • Support set-up and upkeep of outdoor furniture, signage, and seasonal dรฉcor.
  • Ensure exterior areas remain visually appealing and guest-ready at all times.

Equipment & Tool Support

  • Operate basic landscaping tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Maintain proper care and storage of tools and supplies.
  • Report equipment issues or repair needs promptly.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance of landscaping equipment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow OSHA guidelines and resort safety policies.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Handle fertilizers, chemicals, and landscaping materials according to safety standards.
  • Ensure work areas remain free of hazards for guests and team members.

Team Collaboration

  • Work cooperatively with Grounds, Engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Assist with large-scale landscaping projects and seasonal transitions.
  • Support special events and resort-wide initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous landscaping or outdoor maintenance experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate landscaping tools safely and follow instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to approximately 50 pounds.
